Mr. Jam Kamal Khan, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources headed Pakistan delegation to Turkmenistan on TAPI Gas Pipeline
Mr. Jam Kamal Khan, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources headed Pakistan delegation to Turkmenistan for the meeting of the Steering Committee of Turkmenistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan - India (TAPI) gas pipeline project. On his arrival at Ashgabat he participated in the International Oil and Gas Conference/Exhibition - OGT 2014 on November 17-19, 2014. The Pakistani delegation also included Mr. Zahid Muzaffar, Advisor on Petroleum and Natural Resources, Managing Directors of Inter State Gas System (ISGS), Sui Southern Gas Pipe line Limited (SSGPL) and Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL). The Managing Director, OGDCL gave a presentation in the first Plenary Session on Pakistan over all energy potential and status.
After attending the Plenary Session of the Conference, the Minister of State visited various stalls of different renowned international oil and gas companies. He gathered different information related to oil and gas industry and discussed ways and means of cooperation with the relevant companies in this field.
The Minister of State also called on Turkmen Vice Premier/Incharge of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral resources, Mr. Baymyrat Hojamuhammedov and discussed different issues related to the bilateral cooperation in the field of energy. The two sides expressed satisfaction on the current pace of cooperation and also discussed different options as to how Pakistani oil and gas exploration and production sector can participate in Turkmenistan.
