Jam Kamal Khan, Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Resources, visited PARCO Corporate Headquarters and Sui Sothern Gas Company’s Regional Office Larkana office.

He was received by Mr. Nawab Hasan Ali Khan, Chairman PARCO Board, Mr. Tariq Rizavi, Managing Director, PARCO and other senior executives of the company. Tariq Rizavi Managing Director, PARCO briefed the Minister on the Company’s operations including its Mid-Country Refinery, cross country pipeline network and marketing activities. Mr. Rizavi also gave a detailed overview of PARCO’s history, its growth and diversification strategy and how PARCO is fulfilling its responsibilities as the leading integrated petroleum company in Pakistan. The Minister was also informed about PARCO’s acquisitions and future projects. The Minister appreciated the tremendous growth of PARCO, its significant contribution to the country’s exchequer and its critical role in development. He noted that PARCO’s reputation, financial and operational success is largely due to its highly professional team, use of modern technology and adherence to merit. Reiterating his support, the Minister of State encouraged PARCO to continue its expansion strategy and bring further foreign investment in petroleum sector so that the country could become self reliant in locally produced fuel which is essential for Pakistan’s prosperity.

 Later he Minister of State also visited the Regional Office, SSGCL Larkana.  He was accompanied with Notables of the area and a large number of local Muslim League Leaders and Workers.  The Minister of State was a simple briefing about the work being carried-out in Larkana Region.  On this occasion Jam Kamal Khan directed the Regional General Manager to take all necessary measures to resolve the Sui-Gas related problems of the people of Larkana. He directed that a close coordination may be carried-out with the local people and their genuine problems and grievances pertaining to gas may be resolved on priority basis. Minister of State also met with CBA Regional Office Representatives in Union Office.
