Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), being an important stakeholder, took part in the tree plantation drive of the federal government through E&P operators in Prime Minister's launched Clean Green Pakistan Campaign. 

Under the leadership of Prime Minister, Petroleum Division shall vigorously continue to participate in national campaigns and development of the country.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan launched the Clean Green Pakistan Movement (CGPM) on 13th October 2018. This national campaign underpins behavioral change and institutional strengthening. Although Pakistan is not a major contribution to global warming, yet it is the seventh most affected country mainly due to the CO2 emissions by neighbouring countries and the region. In order to increase the forest coverage, plantation is included as a main component of the CGPM.
